Welcome to Kaffay

Kaffay, based in Nelson makes pancakes, French crępes and galettes with a kiwi twist, & can cater for most dietary needs. Most traditional combinations are here, including vegetarian choices, with vegan made to order. The traditional savoury pancake known as the GALETTE and the sweet CRĘPE are both large, light and very thin.

The GALETTE originating in Brittany, France, is made using buckwheat flour, which really compliments savoury toppings and fillings. Equally tasty with sweet toppings, the GALETTE is wheat, gluten, dairy, egg and sugar free with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, and is ideal for those with various dietary requirements.

Our CRĘPES are the well-known very thin French style pancake made using our traditional recipe, and is the base of many mouth watering sweet toppings and fillings. The pancakes share the same recipe but are light, thicker and fluffy.

We serve various DRINKS with our food, including locally made Zinga all natural lemonade.

Kaffay uses local products and ingredients wherever possible and is proud to use biodegradable plates and glasses made with renewable resources.
